Sanjay Gehani is a Managing Partner, Chief Revenue Officer and CFO of Building Kidz – a nationwide preschool brand that takes a unique approach to learning by integrating performing arts into its curriculum. The company’s mission is to create a community where children are challenged intellectually, become empowered and interested in lifelong learning, and engage in the arts to accelerate the development of their Confidence, Commitment, and Character.
Sanjay leads the franchise development team for Building Kidz, which is a key growth strategy for the company, as well as an important part of achieving the founder’s vision of reaching one million kids worldwide through a combination of service delivery and philanthropy.
Sanjay has made a couple of interesting career moves in his time. He anchored his career for more than 15 years at a technology and semiconductor company in Silicon Valley, working his way up through several progressively responsible roles. He also served as mayor of his hometown of Foster City, California during COVID!
When his son came along, it prompted Sanjay to examine how work impacts one’s relationship to family. After reconnecting with one of his mentors, he found a path to success that could give him both.
