Tom Foley is a social entrepreneur, attorney, and co-founder of of T2D Concepts. He was doing diversity, equity and inclusion long before it was mainstream. After 15 years of practicing law, he founded Indigo Group to design innovative, social entrepreneurship models to drive social justice.
Tom has never been shy about speaking up about inequities when he sees them, and he presents a well-formed case for a better perspective on the topic of diversity – including gender parity. He was nicknamed “The Lawyer” by his teachers in the 8th grade thanks to his logical, well-formed arguments. For the past several years, he’s applied his logic and his emotion in service of facilitating equity and inclusion workshops for corporations and leading the allyship program for NextUp. Tom also serves as an adjunct professor for The University of Dallas and Paul Quinn College.
As part of his social entrepreneurship journey, Tom and chef Tiffany Derry cofounded a hospitality company with purpose. Together, they structure innovative business and franchise models for underserved communities – including the Roots Chicken Shak franchise concept.
